PUNCHED CRAFTS

Punching is probably the simplest and fastest way to create cards, although it can lead to sore fingers if you have to punch too many shapes at a time.

I am classifying craft punches based on the function it performs into five types: corner punches, border punches, design /figure punches, shape punches and embossing punches.

  • CORNER PUNCHES:
Corner punches helps to soften the look of the edges.
This ' just a note' card gives you an idea of how the corners get sofened instead of sharp edges. Also it gives a neat finished look.

  •  BORDER PUNCHES:
Border punches create eye-catching flair to the edges.
  • FIGURE PUNCHES:

Figure punches can be used anywhere in the card as an embellishment.

In this card, I have used flower punches to make an embellishment.

  •  SHAPE PUNCHES:

Shape punches help to make perfectly shaped squares, circles, ovals etc., it's easy to make figures or scenes using just shapes.

This card's main emphasis parts are made using circles and squares.

  • EMBOSSING PUNCHES:
Embossing punches does punching and embossing at the same time.

Embossed punched figures are used in this card.

Punched crafts are suitable for children who start making cards by themselves. This is one of the easiest technique too.
